Who is Dr. Rodney Griffin Jr.:
Dr. Rodney Curtis Griffin, Jr., a native of Chicago, Illinois, was born on April 22. He began his Christian experience early and was baptized at High Mountain M.B. Church, where Rev. Earlie Johnson serves as pastor. He is now a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Johnny L. Miller.
Dr. Griffin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and Business and a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from Faith Evangelical Seminary in Tacoma, Washington. In May 2019, Pastor Griffin was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Ministry. In October of 2012, Reverend Griffin accepted the call to become the 8th pastor of the Saint John Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana, making him the youngest pastor in the church’s history. Under his leadership, Saint John experienced new growth spiritually and numerically. With nothing but his faith in God to guide him, Dr. Griffin organized Greater Grace Church in
July 2014.
